As we continue to monitor the rapidly changing impact COVID-19 has had on our members, employees, and the communities we serve, we want you to know that we remain committed to serving your banking needs.  Mocse's primary concern is the safety of our members, our staff and families.  We are being proactive by following measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to lessen the potential impact.  We are following the guidance from our Federal, State and local governments and want to provide you with the following important updates.

 

Economic Impact Payments

The government is beginning to distribute economic impact payments this month.  We have created an Economic Impact Payment (Stimulous Check) FAQs page with information from the IRS to help our members understand how to access their payment.

At Mocse, if accounts are overdrawn, any deposits are automatically applied to cover negative balances. However, we are committed to ensuring you have full access to your CARES Act stimulus funds. Branch Hours & Operation

All of our branches will remain open during normal business hours (we are limiting the number of members allowed in at a time) with the exception of our Sonora Wildcat Branch.  The Sonora Wildcat Branch will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until further notice.  If the status of our branch availability should change, we will provide continuing updates on our website.

  • The Federal Reserve has temporarily removed the 6 transaction limit per month on savings & money market accounts.

  • All overdraft fees have been reduced in half until further notice

  • Transfer overdraft fee from shares to checking has been removed

  • Loan Skip-A-Pay fees will be waived until further notice.  Additional skips may be available

  • Income Protection Loan available for existing members temporarily out of work

  • Night Drop is available at our Coffee Road, J Street, Sonora and Turlock branches

  • Walk-Up Windows are available at our Coffee Rd and J Street branches from
    8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Monday - Friday and from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday

Some services may take longer than usual in our branches as a result of staff availability and member needs.  We appreciate your patience and encourage our members to use the digital services available.  

 

Digital Services Available 24/7

For your safety and that of our staff, we would encourage you to use our digital services.

  • Online Banking & Bill Pay - Information page including video tutorials or if you're a new user Enroll here.  We are excited to announce that Zelle® is available through Bill Pay to make Person-to-Person payments.  We would also encourage our members to set up automatic payments through Online Banking

  • Mobile Banking - Download our Mobile App from Google and Apple.  You can complete all your banking from your smartphone including Mobile Deposit using Remote Deposit Capture.  Review our Information page including video tutorials.  Deposit checks up to $2,500 per item with a $5,000 daily limit.  Items are subject to review and approval

  • Mocse SmartCARD - Download our Mocse SmartCARD App from Google and Apple where you can control your Mocse Visa Credit and Debit cards and set up card alerts.  Once downloaded, you'll be able to access CardSMART from either our Mocse Mobile Banking app or via the CardSMART app, using your existing username and password.  Video tutorial available on our Checking & Visa pages

  • Co-Op ATMs - 30,000 Co-Op ATMs are available nationwide with no fee.  Use the Co-Op ATM Locator to find the nearest Co-Op ATM near you.  Our J Street branch in Modesto also offers a drive-up ATM  

  • Apply for a Loan -  Members can apply for loans using our Online Loan Application or you can contact us directly at 800-464-8864.  If you have been affected by COVID-19, please contact the credit union to discuss your possible options.  We are not currently taking loan applications in our branches

     

Funds are Federally Insured

  • Your money is safe and Federally insured by NCUA up to $250,000.  Taking out unnecessary amounts of cash could pose a risk for theft.  Other forms of payment, such as debit and credit cards are safer and cleaner.  

 

Avoid Phishing Scams

  • Stay secure and avoid phishing scams.  Mocse will never call you and ask for your personal and/or account information.  Authorities are alerting consumers to beware of frauds related to COVID-19/coronavirus.  The phishing scams can include identity thieves gathering credit card and other information on websites from criminals posing as CDC and WHO officials.
